About SkeinScout

SkeinScout is a search tool for hand-dyed and indie yarn sold by independent makers on Shopify. Instead of hunting through dozens of individual shop websites one at a time, you can search by weight, fiber, price, and shipping destination and see results pulled live from many different stores at once.

How it works

Product listings on SkeinScout are fetched in real time from Shopify's Catalog API, which indexes products across Shopify merchants worldwide. SkeinScout doesn't host or store product data itself — every search reflects what merchants currently have listed at that moment.

Buying

SkeinScout doesn't sell anything and doesn't process payments. Every "Buy" button takes you directly to the listing merchant's own store to complete your purchase, so pricing, shipping, and order support all come from that shop directly.
